The Iowa City Community School District Foundation is happy to announce the “Shine Award,” a new program designed to recognize district teachers, staff and administrators who have gone above and beyond to positively benefit our students, our schools, and our community.
Any employee of the Iowa City Community School District is eligible to be nominated for the award. Nominations may be submitted by anyone – other ICCSD staff members, students, parents, businesses, or community members.
Each month during the academic year, up to 10 nominees will be recognized. “Shine Award” winners will receive an exclusively decorated “Shine” cookie-on-a-stick from our sponsor, Cookies by Design in Coralville, along with a recognition certificate presented by representatives of the ICCSD Foundation and the ICCSD administration. Winners will also be recognized in Foundation publications and at the “Education is Everybody’s Business” breakfast.
