When John begins the new school year, he feels on top of the world when he is befriended by the coolest kid in school. However, it is not long before becoming a follower of his "cool" new friends has him questioning the type of person he is becoming. Then, the tables turn. John isn't one of the "cool kids" anymore. Now, he is on the other end of their teasing, exclusion, and cruelty.

John Bacon has written a timely children’s novel geared for upper elementary students. Readers will laugh out loud and make connections to their own experiences, while learning strategies for working through these tough and all too common issues in their own lives.

100% of the proceeds from the sale of this book will benefit the ICCSD Foundation’s Excellence Fund to support annual grants to the schools.
