Dine out for Education

Members of the ICCSD community can take a break from cooking by dining in or ordering takeout from any of our participating Dine Out partners. Over 50 restaurant partners have pledged to contribute 10% of their sales from the event days to aid the Foundation for the ICCSD. We appreciate the dedication of our Dine Out partners to the Foundation for ICCSD, our schools, our students, and our community.

Thank you to our 24-25 Dine Out Partners!

Run for the Schools

Sunday, October 6, 2024!

The Run for the Schools race for 2024-25 is set to take place on Sunday, October 6, 2024. This family-friendly event offers participants a range of distances to choose from – Half-Mile, Mile, 5K, or 10K – and the opportunity to run, walk, or volunteer.

CLICK HERE TO REGISTER FOR THIS YEAR'S RACE

Since 1999, this race, sponsored by MidWestOne Bank and organized by Iowa City Road Races, has been a significant supporter of the Iowa City Community School District and Regina Catholic schools. Through donations exceeding $1,000,000, it has made a substantial impact on our community schools.

The Run for the Schools event serves as a crucial fundraiser for the Iowa City Community School District. The funds raised for ICCSD schools go to support the Foundation for the ICCSD’s Excellence Fund, benefiting various programs such as School of the Wild, Any Given Child Fine Arts experiences, the Big Idea Hunt, resources for Student Family Advocates and staff recognition and events.

Hills Bank Classroom Cash

The Hills Bank Classroom Cash program enables Hills Bank customers to generate funds for their chosen public or private school. With each purchase using a Hills Bank debit card, a contribution is made to a local school. Classroom Cash donations have been instrumental in supporting the Foundation’s Excellence Fund, enhancing students' learning experiences beyond the classroom. These experiences include Visiting Author, School of the Wild, Makerspaces, and Symphony Goes To School.

Over the years, the Excellence Fund has provided annual grants to schools and classrooms for technology, literacy resources, and music programs. To join the Classroom Cash program and contribute to your schools every time you use your debit card, visit Hills Bank Classroom Cash.

Teacher Tuesday

Teacher Tuesday is a one day giving event. All donations made on this day will fund our 2024-2025 teacher grants. Thanks to a generous match from Heartland Bank and matching gifts from the Foundation, the impact of your gift will be tripled!

Our Teacher Tuesday funding supplements our Little Idea Hunt grants to classroom teachers. This year's awards will be announced September 13th!
