SEPTEMBER 19th! Dine out for Education
You're invited to Dine Out For Education on September 19, 2024! Members of the ICCSD community can take a break from cooking by dining in or ordering takeout from any of our participating Dine Out partners. Over 50 restaurant partners have pledged to contribute 10% of their sales from the event days to aid the Foundation for the ICCSD. We appreciate the dedication of our Dine Out partners to the Foundation for ICCSD, our schools, our students, and our community.

Since 1999, this race, sponsored by MidWestOne Bank and organized by Iowa City Road Races, has been a significant supporter of the Iowa City Community School District and Regina Catholic schools. Through donations exceeding $1,000,000, it has made a substantial impact on our community schools.
The Run for the Schools event serves as a crucial fundraiser for the Iowa City Community School District. The funds raised for ICCSD schools go to support the Foundation for the ICCSD’s Excellence Fund, benefiting various programs such as School of the Wild, Symphony Goes to School, Visiting Author, STEM and MakerSpace initiatives in secondary schools, LiveArts@Hancher, KinderTales, and staff recognition and events.
Hills Bank Classroom Cash
The Hills Bank Classroom Cash program enables Hills Bank customers to generate funds for their chosen public or private school. With each purchase using a Hills Bank debit card, a contribution is made to a local school. Classroom Cash donations have been instrumental in supporting the Foundation’s Excellence Fund, enhancing students' learning experiences beyond the classroom. These experiences include Visiting Author, School of the Wild, Makerspaces, and Symphony Goes To School.
Over the years, the Excellence Fund has provided annual grants to schools and classrooms for technology, literacy resources, and music programs. To join the Classroom Cash program and contribute to your schools every time you use your debit card, visit Hills Bank Classroom Cash.
Greenstate Give & Grow
Double Your Impact with GreenState Credit Union! GreenState Credit Union not only supports local schools but also offers their credit union members a chance to double their contributions to schools during the month of April. Every April, members can donate to the Foundation for ICCSD, and GreenState Credit Union matches their donations, up to a maximum of $15,000, throughout the month-long school fundraising campaign.
Teacher Tuesday
Teacher Tuesday is a one day giving event. All donations made on this day will fund our 2024-2025 teacher grants. Thanks to a generous match from Heartland Bank and matching gifts from the Foundation, the impact of your gift will be tripled!
In 2023, Teacher Tuesday provided 100 grants to 25 schools, totaling $50,333.
School Supply Drive
Join the Foundation and Iowa City Community School District for our annual Supply Drive. School supplies will be collected during business hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday in August at the ESC (1725 N. Dodge Street).
Thank you for your support and assistance making this a great school year for all the students.
Superintendent's Circle
The Superintendent’s Circle consists of businesses and individuals who recognize the importance of a strong K-12 public school system in our community. This dedicated group of donors commits to providing consistent financial backing to ICCSD schools through donations to the Foundation for ICCSD. Members of the Superintendent Circle contribute $1,000 or more annually with the aim of significantly benefiting the schools.
We express our gratitude to the Superintendent’s Circle members for their generous support to the Foundation for the ICCSD. Their yearly contributions enrich programs across all schools and enable the Foundation to positively impact all students in the District. To become a part of the Superintendent’s Circle, please email Laura Ebinger or call at 319-688-1012.
