The Foundation for the Iowa City Community School District connects the community with our schools to ensure EVERY student has extraordinary learning experiences. Together we empower teachers and district staff and inspire students to learn.

As the preferred channel for gifts to the Iowa City Community School District, the Foundation is dedicated to engaging, enriching and advancing opportunities available to every student, every year.

How You Can Help
Funds are raised from generous individuals, business sponsors, and from community members by direct appeals and through community-wide educational and social events. This is done using a variety of mechanisms, including:
General donations – cash, online giving, credit card, or pledged donationsPlanned giving – life insurance, wills, trusts, estate plansGifts of stockMatched giving – donations matched by employersFundraisers – Dine Out for Education, Education is Everybody’s Business Breakfast, Run for the Schools
